Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes even the strongest families need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. Navigating the world through your child or teen’s eyes can feel like a battle. When your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or behavior problems, know that there is hope for a better tomorrow.
When little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it's our job to share our calm, not join their chaos.
It can be intimidating to seek out help and support, especially for your child. At Summer Counseling, we strive to provide a welcoming, friendly, creative environment. This will allow your child to express him or herself freely and learn the skills necessary to create real change with their emotions and behavior.Summer Counseling specializes in treating children, teens, and families, and I’m confident that by working together, no problem is too great to overcome. Through therapy, there is always a path forward into the sunshine.
Summer Counseling will be offering fully equipped Play Therapy room, including an art and “messy” corner, sensory processing and calm corner, pretend play area, and physical activity corner beginning in June, 2019. In addition to our Play Therapy room, Summer counseling has a teen-friendly office that includes a casual, comfortable environment. Please see our FAQ section to learn more about Play Therapy and what to expect during sessions.
