Jennifer is not accepting new clients, but is happy to refer you to one of our other caring and talented therapists at Summer Counseling!

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Minnesota Board of Behavioral Therapy and Mental Health Clinical Supervisor who received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2004. She is the owner of Summer Counseling and Clinical Supervisor for all staff. She began her career working in residential treatment with children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges, and chose to continue in this specialty after seeing the growth and success these children obtained during treatment. Jennifer continues to focus her practice on children and teens, extending to young adults in transition. Her treatment models are eclectic-drawing from Adlerian Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy to meet her client’s needs. Working from an action and change-focused perspective, Jennifer works with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, anger and behavior disorders, parenting and communication, mood disorders, trauma and abuse, and children in transition because of divorce or custody changes.

Jennifer is a Woodbury High School graduate and has lived or worked in Woodbury for 30 years. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two teenage daughters, and dogs Boomer and Oliver. Boomer and Jennifer have recently become a TDI certified therapy dog team! Jennifer enjoys all things Disney, reading, being outside (when it’s over 50 degrees out!), and Pilates.
