As a therapist I believe my role is to help children and adults in their unique and self-directed journeys towards growth. The astounding transformations I have experienced in my work have left me with a deep appreciation for the power of healing relationships.
I often find the concerns people present in therapy are part of larger questions about what it means to be a person in the world. When do we feel most ourselves? Who is it that we’re trying to become? How can we feel most connected? What is the impact we hope to have? No matter what age or place of life you are in, my goal is to address the specific and pressing issues that brought you in the door while also making space for the deeper meanings that arise.
In therapy, I’ll try to help you name your own value system so that it may guide our work together. I will aim to support you in locating and making connections between your feelings and the sensations in your body, and I’ll ask questions to help contextualize your experiences within a cultural framework. My hope is that together we can expand your sense of agency in navigating the world so that you may more fully celebrate and thrive in the life you choose.
Play, laughter, and creativity are a big part of both my personality and my work as a therapist. As a nonbinary human I don’t believe in absolutes or either/or choices. I’m grateful for the opportunity to get to know you and be part of your journey forward!
